I finally broke down and got a crock pot. I am not a big fan of foods that are all mixed up together like in casseroles and stews, so I've never seen much of a reason to have a crock pot before. But Richard wanted to do some special recipe in one so I "let" him buy one.
So now, hit me with your favorite crock pot recipe. What ya got? Maybe I'll be glad I bought this huge (storage problem) thing.

Café Rio Chicken
In crock pot add:
5 lbs. boneless skinless breasts
small bottle Kraft zesty Italian dressing
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. cumin
3 gloves garlic, or 2 tsp. chopped garlic in a jar
Cook in the crockpot for 4 hours on low. Shred the chicken and cook for another hour.
Served with:
White rice,
Flour (or corn) tortillas,
Mashed potatoes, or our family favorite:
Add all sort of ingredients/toppings to make it mexican-style burrito and/or nachos.
ENJOY!
I don't remember now but there's a couple really good websites dedicated to Crock-Pot recipes - even cakes and brownies (I never tried to do it by myself but I had quite few servings of them when some people brought in to church activities. I must admit they were delicious!)
You don't like foods mixed together? You sound like a 3yo. ;)
i have never been able to cook anything good in a cp. It seems like it is always swimming in the grease and that makes my tummy hurt.
The best and easiest is roast, potatoes and carrots. great for sunday dinner!
I feel the same about the crock pot, so let me know if you make something that is to die for because maybe then I will go get one too :).
