Well, we're pretty sure Isaiah has Rotavirus too. He has the first signs of it and was up every three hours or so last night which is very unusual. We're hoping that since he's smaller and slightly less stubborn it will be easier to keep him hydrated and away from the ER. Asher is doing well so far today. He's drinking water and eating Cheerios for breakfast. He's looking pretty chipper and we hope it will stay that way. Now I'm just waiting for Naomi to get it - which will be the least fun of all since she doesn't wear a diaper anymore.
My Dad arrives on Wednesday (holy cow...that's tomorrow!) to build a fence for us in the back yard. We are super duper excited about having a fence. And we are equally excited to have a visit from Grandpa. He'll be here for Asher's birthday over the weekend, which will be fun. Also bringing loads of fun this weekend is the arrival home of Richard's sister, Karen, from her mission in Chile. She arrives Friday afternoon. And, just in case we weren't busy enough, we have tickets to the circus on Saturday courtesy of my fabulous cousin Carl who works for Barnum and Bailey. He's one of those clowns that fit into the really tiny cars. Just kidding - he does something with their website. That would explain a lot though, huh? If there were circus performers in my family?

will i get rotovirus if i comment on your blog? it sounds no fun, I hope that you can keep those kids hydrated and mostly happy in spite of everything. only once have we ever had a lethargic sickness like that. we administered lots of gatorade, it kept us out of the er. good luck and i hope everyone is feeling better for all the fun coming up!
Oh Nancy! I hope Naomi doesn't get sick too. And I hope they all get better so you can get to the circus.

Nancy, your kids are too cute to be sick! I sure hope this passes soon so you'll be able to enjoy your family. You are doing such a good job being a mom!
Nancy--I just took my son in for his six-month vaccination and they had one for Rotavirus: do they have a vaccination in the USA or is this an Australia random thing? Or is it just new? I wouldn't have even noticed if I didn't know your kids just had it--I'll take whatever vaccinations they'll give me! Just wondering if we're just lucky down under....
