Summer / 2 year Giveaway

It is officially Summer! The calendar says so, even if the weather still says "Spring". That's something worth celebrating! But on top of that, I just realized that my 2 year anniversary of blogging came and went without my notice. Two solid years of blogging is also something worth celebrating. ...More reminiscences about that later. For now, let's get on to the giveaway!

I'm giving away one of my favorite necklaces that I've ever made. I call it my Blackbird Fly necklace. It is not the actual necklace below, but one made just like it. (My camera battery is dead right now so I can't take a picture of the new one.)

To win the necklace, just comment on this post before Thursday, June 25 at 8 am. Anyone in the USA can win. Good luck!

So, about this two years of blogging. That's a long time! Our family sure has changed since then. When I started this blog I was still in the midst of the baby-fog that came with Isaiah's birth. Now I'm starting to feel like I've got it together more than I have in years (must be time to have another baby, right?). Our family went from this:

to this.

I'm so thankful I have this blog as a journal of our growing family. But I'm also so thankful for the bond it has created with my family and friends near and far. It's been great to get to know all of you in this way.
If you're interested in a trip down memory lane, here are a few of my favorite posts, in order from oldest to newest.
Grammar (be sure to read the comments on this one)

Yes, blogging is a good way to pass around updated news to your family and friends about your everydays... and everyone likes to be part of it as often you allow us. Thanks and Congratulations!!!

Plus it's a good way for memory line to remind you how blessed and beautiful you can grow into life.

I love reading your blog! It's so nice to know there are other mommies out there just like me who have good and bad days. Wow! I've only been blogging since September! You have almost a year and a half up on me. Oh! And I would love to be entered for the necklace. It's so cute! Thanks!

I love how your family has grown. You are raising some very nice children and it is a credit to you. BTW I don't need a necklace.
Love you.

Wow, I didn't realize that I've been reading almost as long as you have it (I left Virginia in September 2007). It got me thinking about my blog. I've been inconsistently blogging since 2006. I didn't realize that I've been doing it that long. I'm not sure if I've made it to my 100th post yet. I transferred posts from an old blog into one blog post on my current blog. I'll have to go back and count. You'd think after 3 years I'd be close to 100.

Anywhoo... I looked around your Etsy shop and I think your Jade V Necklace and Earrings Set is my favorite. I love the chain on the Blackbird Fly necklace.
